Description

Turners are responsible for precision machining and fabrication of metal components required for aircraft, vehicles, and technical systems. Their role ensures accuracy, safety, and operational reliability of mechanical components.

Duties and responsibilities:

Manufacturing and repairing metal components using machine tools.
Ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality standards.

GCE O/L REQUIREMENTS

Passes in 06 subjects at the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than two sittings including Simple (S) passes in Sinhala / Tamil, Mathematics / Science.
or
Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exam or Cambridge International Ordinary Level exams: Passes in 06 subjects in not more than two sittings. Passes are compulsory for English, all Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) or Mathematics.
and
Possession of NVQ Level qualification / Training from a Technical college or reputed institute and work experience in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
